Job summary

Townsen Memorial is hiring a Full-Time Respiratory Therapist for Day Shift at our Houston TX 77072 location. The RT provides respiratory care therapies, labs, and patient education across all ages, following physician orders and hospital protocols.

The role emphasizes equipment maintenance, quality checks on analyzers, rounds participation, and collaboration with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Respiratory Care preferred or required as stated.
• NBRC RRT credential required by Texas licensing.
• Active Texas Respiratory Therapist license in good standing.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in critical and non-critical areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care treatments per physician orders and guidelines.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately.
• Review physician orders, initiate protocols, participate in rounds.
• Educate patients and families on therapies and equipment.
• Maintain and calibrate respiratory and lab equipment; perform analyzer checks.
• Assist in staff orientation and training on therapies and modalities.
