Job Summary and Qualifications

The Respiratory Therapist coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care, including diagnostic tests, therapeutic procedures, and monitoring patients on mechanical ventilation.

What You Will Do In This Role

• Perform and document patient assessments, conduct diagnostic procedures, administer respiratory therapies, assist with airway placement, initiate and monitor mechanical ventilation, and respond to emergent situations.

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
• RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP) license by the Texas Medical Board.
• Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care program recognized by NBRC.
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute care environment.
• Credentialed as RRT or RPFT by NBRC if hired after 4/1/2015.
