North Canyon Medical Center seeks a Respiratory Therapist to assist in patient care as prescribed by a physician and to perform diagnostic testing and guidelines under supervision. You will support treatment plans and monitor patient progress in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate has formal education in respiratory therapy with licensure, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse patient populations across life stages while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a School of Respiratory Therapy and licensure from Idaho.
• Minimum experience as required for the position and/or specific area(s) of assignment.
• Excellent communication skills to include oral comprehension/expression and written comprehension/expression.

Assists and perform duties to meet objectives of respiratory therapy as prescribed by a physician. Responsible for assisting the physician by providing guidelines and diagnostic testing for the treatment and care of the patient.

Requirements

• Graduation from a School of Respiratory Therapy and certified/licensure from Idaho.
• Minimum experience as required for the position and/or specific area(s) of assignment.
• Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain competency as required for job title and the unit/area(s) of assignment.
• Excellent communication skills to include oral comprehension/expression and written comprehension/expression.
• Ability and willingness to work with patients’ growth and development needs particularly related to the age of patients in the unit/area(s) of assignment.
• Ability to manage a chaotic work environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes, and those who are dying.
• Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards for performance improvement and organizational values (e.g., efficiency & financial responsibility, safety, partnership & service, teamwork, compassion, integrity, and trust & respect).
