West Tennessee Post Acute in Jackson, TN, seeks a Respiratory Therapist to evaluate, treat, and care for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. Under the Respiratory Department Head, you’ll supervise Technicians and deliver evidence-based therapies.

Responsibilities include planning and administering IPPB, aerosol, chest therapies, and diagnostic tests, while ensuring accurate documentation and patient education. Join a compassionate team focused on high-quality care.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (CoARC-approved).
• Certified or Registered by the NBRC - CRT or RRT.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred (or obtained within 90 days of hire).
• Strong clinical skills in respiratory treatments, ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and patient education.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Assesses patients and recommends respiratory therapy treatments.
• Plans, prepares and administers respiratory therapy treatments including IPPB, aerosol, chest physical therapy, incentive spirometry, and sputum inductions.
• Performs diagnostic pulmonary and cardiac tests.
• Inspects, tests, maintains and operates respiratory therapy equipment.
• Responds to code blue calls and assists by maintaining the airway and performing CPR.
• Instructs respiratory technicians.
• Patient care documentation is timely, legible, and efficient.
• Notes are concise, pertinent and meet departmental documentation standards.
• Oral reporting is clear, concise, relevant, and timely.
• Utilize resources and materials in an efficient and safe manner.
• Performs all duties promptly in a competent and caring manner.
• Present a neat appearance and dress in compliance with client facilities' policies.
• While on assignment, the Respiratory Therapist reports to the Department Head and follows supervisor directions.
