Job summary

Onyx Care of Jena is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our post-acute rehabilitation team. You will provide respiratory care, assess patients, and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities include operating ventilators and oxygen therapy devices, documenting care, and ensuring safety and quality in patient treatment. Competitive benefits and a patient-centered work environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana LRT license (Required).
• Current CPR certification (Preferred).
• Skilled Nursing experience a Plus.

Responsibilities

• Providing respiratory care to patients with COPD, asthma, and pneumonia.
• Conducting assessments and developing individualized respiratory care plans.
• Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen therapy devices.
• Collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure effective care and communication.
• Maintaining accurate and timely records of patient care and treatment.
• Provide high-quality respiratory care focusing on patients' needs and recovery goals.
• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans with patients and teams.
• Operate and maintain respiratory equipment ensuring optimal function and safety.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans to achieve outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and communication.
