Job summary

Onyx Care of Jena is seeking an Evening Shift Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care in a post-acute setting. You will work with a dedicated team using advanced technology to support patient recovery and comfort.

This role requires current RRT certification, Louisiana licensure, and at least two years of acute or post-acute experience. You will manage ventilators, perform assessments, document care, and participate in quality improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

• Provide life-sustaining treatments and therapies to patients with respiratory disorders, including ventilator management, aerosol therapy, and pulse oximetry monitoring.
• Conduct patient assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of respiratory equipment.
• Develop and maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
