Accendra Health, Inc. in Plainview, NY is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide home-based respiratory care and equipment support. You will perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups, educate patients, and coordinate care with hospital staff and case managers.

The role combines office and field work with on-site hours and a driving radius. NY license in good standing is required and prior RT experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active NY RT license.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow ups.
• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams.
• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment including oxygen therapy, nebulization, PAP, and ventilation.
• Inspect and test equipment for proper operation.
• Perform clinical assessments such as pulse oximetry and spirometry.

This position provides a balance of branch operations and patient-facing respiratory care while helping patients successfully transition from hospital to home.**Key Highlights*** Coverage includes rotation between the Plainview and Riverhead branches* Hours: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM* Work Arrangement: On-site; approximately 80% office and 20% field* Driving Territory: Up to 1.5 hours from the branch**Salary Range*** $52.00 – $60.00 per hour.
