Job Description

(May include but are not limited to the following:)

1. Observe and monitor signs, symptoms, general behavior, and physical response to respiratory care treatment and diagnostic testing to identify abnormalities.
2. Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns professionally and therapeutically.
3. Perform duties related to POC testing, quality metrics, and specimen retrieval.
4. Conduct baseline pulmonary function screening and weaning parameters.
5. Perform pulmonary diagnostic testing, including pulmonary screens, ABGs, SpO2, Peak Flows, and oximetry.
6. Accurately input data into Allscripts to track procedures, supply charges, and relevant information.
7. Operate, maintain, and repair equipment to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness.

Education

• AAS from an AMA-approved respiratory program
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• BLS/ACLS Certification
