Job summary

Baptist Health Medical Group in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a fast-paced pulmonary specialty team. You will perform advanced pulmonary procedures and diagnostic testing in an outpatient setting, working with providers to deliver exceptional patient care.

The ideal candidate will have an RRT credential, Alabama licensure, BLS, and strong pulmonary function testing experience, with excellent communication in a busy clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and Alabama licensure.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience performing pulmonary diagnostics and respiratory testing preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret Full Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs), averaging 8 or more studies per day.
• Conduct Methacholine Challenge Testing.
• Perform Maximal Voluntary Ventilation (MVV).
• Complete Maximal Inspiratory and Expiratory Pressure (MIP/MEP) Testing.
• Perform Negative Inspiratory Force (NIF) Assessments.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and testing records.
• Ensure quality control and proper operation of respiratory diagnostic equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to provide exceptional patient care.
