Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Columbus South in Columbus, OH is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for per diem night shifts. The role includes evaluating patients, delivering respiratory care, and assisting with critical care cases.

Per diem schedule offers two 12-hour shifts weekly with at least three weekend shifts every six weeks, and a $7,500 sign-on bonus. Requirements include Active NBRC RRT, BLS, ACLS on hire, and current state licensure.

Qualifications

• Must possess Active NBRC RRT credential or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation: college transcript/diploma or high school transcript/diploma/GED.
• Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS required upon hire; agency RT must have ACLS by first shift.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex conditions.
• Insert and remove endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT) - Per Diem/ PRN

Location: Select Specialty Hospital - Columbus South (South High Street)

Schedule: 2 12hr shifts/week, at least 3 weekends shifts every 6 weeks (Nights)

Compensation: $55 per hour

Sign-on Bonus: $7,500

• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.

• Promoting continuous quality improvement.

• Teaching and counseling patients/families.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.

• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.

• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.

• Current state licensure is required.

• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
