What You Will Do

As an RT, you will assess, treat, and care for patients of all ages with pulmonary disorders. Responsibilities include analyzing diagnostic tests, setting up cardiopulmonary equipment, and monitoring patient breathing.

Responsibilities

• Gather data to assess a patient's health status
• Assess patients based on physical or age-related needs
• Observe, record, and report symptoms and progress
• Administer medications, treatments, and diagnostic procedures
• Manage airways, perform intubations, extubations, pulmonary hygiene, and emergency procedures
• Provide health education to patients and community members

What You Will Need

• Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Current NY State RT License

Pay Range: $34.00 - $44.00, based on experience, skills, and education. Pay varies by location and other factors.
