Job description

Responsibilities

Southwest Healthcare includes:

• Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar, California: A licensed 122-bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission, the region's only Trauma Center and Paramedic Base Station, performing over 4,000 surgeries annually with approximately 4,000 Emergency Department visits per month. It features a Bariatric Weight-Loss Surgery Center of Excellence and the region’s only Total Joint Center.
• Rancho Springs Hospital in Murrieta, California: A 120-bed acute-care hospital with the area's only Pediatric Emergency Services team, OB/Emergency Department program, and a large Childbirth Center with private suites. It also operates the region's only Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) managed by Rady Children’s.

Qualifications

1. Essential Knowledge / Skills

• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Critical thinking abilities
• Experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA)
• Expertise in Respiratory Care Practices
• Knowledge of specialized Respiratory and Cardiopulmonary procedures
• Current licenses, credentials, and certificates
• Interpersonal and patient care skills
• Ability to mentor other RCPs in clinical competencies and procedures

2. Minimum Essential Experience

At least 1 year of Acute and Critical Care experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (preferred).

3. Minimum Essential Education/Credentials

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC (must be obtained by July 10, 2019, and maintained)
• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (as of July 10, 2019)

4. Required Licensure / Certifications

• California RCP license
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS certifications
