Job summary

Research Medical Center in Kansas City area seeks a Respiratory Therapist (CRT) to join our patient care team. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, monitor patients, and educate them and families as part of a coordinated care plan.

You will work under supervision until completing your Respiratory Therapy program, with opportunities for growth within a large health system and access to comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• NBRC-CRT certification required or in progress as part of eligibility.
• Certification in CRT by state and/or RRT/RCP in-state equivalents.
• Good foundational knowledge of respiratory care theory and practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures ordered by physicians.
• Administer medical gases and aerosol therapies as prescribed.
• Obtain and analyze blood specimens and monitor patient responses.
• Operate and maintain respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain infection control practices.
