Job summary

Research Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT) to join our patient care team in the Kansas City area. Under physician orders, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, maintain equipment, and support critical care patients across age groups.

You must hold NBRC-CRT and meet state certification requirements (CRT-State or RRT/RCP-State). ACLS and BCLS are required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• NBRC-CRT certification is required.
• CRT-State or RRT/RCP-State certification, or an Associate/Bachelor degree.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures ordered by physicians.
• Administer medical gases and aerosol therapy to patients.
• Obtain and analyze blood specimens; perform patient testing.
• Operate and maintain respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment.
• Assist with CPR and provide patient education.
• Document patient data and care in the records and ensure infection control.
• Maintain safety practices and comply with hospital policies.
