Job summary

Riverside Health in Gloucester, Virginia is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to plan, execute, and evaluate respiratory care for assigned patients. You will apply evidence-based practice and collaborate with the care team to meet safety and quality goals.

The role requires NBRC licensure, CPR/BLS, ACLS within 1 year, and an Associate or higher degree in Respiratory Therapy; one year experience preferred. This on-site position offers a competitive hourly range and a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Education as stated: HS diploma or GED, an associate degree is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field preferred.
• Experience: 1 year Respiratory Therapist experience is preferred.
• Licensing: RCP license (Virginia NBRC) required on hire; CRT also required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, implement and evaluate the Respiratory Care Plan.
• Complete documentation; ensure orders are current or discontinued.
• Participate in meetings, projects and in-services to improve services.
• Apply infection control techniques per procedures and standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to create and evaluate treatment plans.
