Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents respiratory therapy services per hospital policies and accrediting bodies.
• Provides direct respiratory care as prescribed by physicians (evaluation, ventilation, oxygenation, airway management, blood gas handling).
• Initiates timely, cost-effective, professional actions aligned with the hospital mission.
• Adheres to safety and infection control standards.
• Cleans, sterilizes, and maintains respiratory equipment and conducts preventive maintenance.
• Performs additional duties and demonstrates team spirit to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Attends inservices and performance-improvement activities, including required competencies.
