Job description

Responsible for implementing and coordinating respiratory care based on department policies and procedures. This includes setting up and operating respiratory equipment for diagnosis and treatment of respiratory conditions. The role involves providing efficient, patient-centered care for diverse patient populations.

Position Requirements:

• Active Colorado Respiratory Care Licensure, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Preferred: Two years of recent clinical experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to respond to emergencies; physical capability to perform job duties.

Essential Functions:

• Provide respectful, dignified care, respecting patient rights and privacy.
• Monitor and report patient condition changes; collaborate with healthcare team.
• Administer respiratory treatments, medications, and support life functions.
• Operate respiratory equipment and monitor patient responses.
• Respond to emergencies, including CODE Blue, and perform CPR; maintain ACLS certification.
• Assist with diagnostic procedures and patient education.
