Job summary

Mercy South is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care under physician orders and to confer with physicians on the effectiveness of therapy. We will consider Certified Respiratory Therapists.

The position is part-time, 24 hours per week, with shifts from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for RRTs. Mercy offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to grow within a caring, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); PALS for ER personnel.
• Physical requirements: ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on therapy effectiveness.
• Acts as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff on respiratory care.
