Job summary

Optigen in Salinas/Monterey CA is seeking a Licensed Respiratory Therapist to join our in-home CPAP team. You will set up PAP equipment, educate patients, and ensure equipment functions correctly in their homes, traveling to patient residences as needed.

Requirements include a current State Respiratory Therapy license, at least two years of home CPAP/BiLevel experience, and the ability to use a personal vehicle. Evening and weekend availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist with state license in good standing.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in home CPAP/BiLevel setups.
• Willingness to travel to patients’ homes for in-home CPAP setups.
• Must have access to a personal vehicle with valid license and clean record.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for setting up PAP equipment, providing patient education according to the patient’s needs. This will involve teaching, advising, and cleaning to ensure appropriate functioning of our equipment in home and as patient needs arise.

Licensed Respiratory Therapist

We are looking for an experienced Respiratory Therapist who combines exceptional human relations skills to interface with our clients and a wide variety of customers. You should display excellent verbal, communication, and people skills. In addition, it is also vital that you demonstrate commitment to provide exceptional service to our clients as well as the ability to work on an independent basis with minimal supervision.

Other Requirements Include:

• Familiarity with CPAP and BiLevel equipment and services provided in the home
• Familiarity with CPAP masks and be able to assess type and size for client
• Ability to establish relationship with client and educate on proper use and care of equipment
• Minimum of two years’ experience in home CPAP / BiLevel setups.
• Willingness to use personal vehicle for business with valid driver’s license and clean record
• Be available evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the patient
• Current State Respiratory Therapy License in good standing
• Have a working computer, printer, and scanner to obtain and print orders
