Job summary

Lincare Holdings seeks a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join our growing team in the United States. You will set up home medical equipment, including ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP units, monitors, and related devices, and educate patients on proper usage.

You will inspect equipment for safety, review prescriptions, maintain patient records, stay current on respiratory therapy practices, and participate in after-hours on-call shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable state and/or national board governing clinical practice.
• Reliable personal vehicle to visit patients throughout assigned territory; mileage reimbursement provided.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and auto insurance in state of residence.
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate patients on home medical equipment (CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, ventilators).
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Review prescriptions and patient information to assess condition and determine suitable treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain patient records in a complete and organized manner per accreditation standards.
• Stay current on respiratory homecare techniques and related concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed, frequency determined by center size and staff.

Lincare is currently seeking aRespiratory Therapist / Nurseto join a growing team. This employee is responsible for the setup of home medical equipment, including ventilators, monitors, CPAP/BiPAP units, and/or other related equipment. The employee will also educate and train patients on the proper usage of prescribed equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and provide education on home medical equipment that includes, but is not limited to CPAP/BiPAP machines, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and/or mechanical ventilators


• Inspect, test, and adjust home medical equipment to ensure it is functioning safely and efficiently


• Review prescription and patient information to assess condition and determine suitable treatment administration, compatible with physician orders


• Maintain patient records in a complete and organized manner in compliance with accreditation standards


• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and relevant respiratory therapy concepts


• Work on‑call after hours and weekends as needed

Qualifications

• In all states CRTs and RRTs are qualified for this position
  
  
  
  • Subject to state law/regulation, RNs, LPNs, LVNs, paramedics, EMTs, and other clinicians may also be qualified for this position

Physical Demands
