Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join our homecare team in Georgia. You will set up and educate patients on CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, nebulizers, and oxygen devices, while ensuring safe operation and accurate records.

Role requires certification/licensing, a valid driver’s license, and a reliable vehicle for patient visits; mileage reimbursement is provided. On-call responsibilities may apply based on center size.

Qualifications

• In all states CRTs and RRTs are qualified for this position.
• RN, LPN, LVN, paramedics, EMTs or other clinicians may also qualify.
• Must remain certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable board.
• Must have reliable vehicle to visit patients; mileage reimbursement provided.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be computer literate with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate on home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators.
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Review prescriptions and patient information to determine appropriate treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain patient records in a complete, organized way per accreditation standards.
• Keep current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed; frequency depends on center size.

Lincare is currently seeking aRespiratory Therapist / Nurseto join a growing team. This employee is responsible for the setup of home medical equipment, including ventilators, monitors, CPAP/BiPAP units, and/or other related equipment. The employee will also educate and train patients on the proper usage of prescribed equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and provide education on home medical equipment that includes, but is not limited to CPAP/BiPAP machines, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and/or mechanical ventilators
• Inspect, test, and adjust home medical equipment to ensure it is functioning safely and efficiently
• Review prescription and patient information to assess condition and determine suitable treatment administration, compatible with physician orders
• Maintain patient records in a complete and organized manner in compliance with accreditation standards
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and relevant respiratory therapy concepts
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed
  • Frequency is determined by center size and number of employees available to share

• Must remain certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable state and/or national board governing clinical practice or as otherwise permitted by law
• Must have reliable personal vehicle to visit patients throughout assigned territory
  • Mileage reimbursement is provided
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance in state of residence, per company policy
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Physical Demands

• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
