Job summary

Lincare Holdings in Wisconsin seeks a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join a growing team responsible for setting up home medical equipment and training patients in proper use.

The role involves on-site patient visits across assigned territories, maintaining accurate records, and staying up-to-date with rehab techniques. A driver’s license and vehicle are required, with mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• CRTs and RRTs are qualified for this position.
• State licensure/certification required; RN, LPN, LVN, paramedics may also qualify.
• Must maintain licensure with the applicable board.
• Must have reliable personal vehicle; mileage reimbursement provided.
• Must have valid driver's license and auto insurance in state of residence.
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate patients on home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators.
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Review prescriptions and patient information to determine appropriate treatment administration.
• Maintain patient records in accordance with accreditation standards.
• Stay current with respiratory homecare techniques and related concepts.
• Be on-call after hours and weekends as needed; frequency varies by center size.

Job description

Lincare is currently seeking aRespiratory Therapist / Nurseto join a growing team. This employee is responsible for the setup of home medical equipment, including ventilators, monitors, CPAP/BiPAP units, and/or other related equipment. The employee will also educate and train patients on the proper usage of prescribed equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and provide education on home medical equipment that includes, but is not limited to CPAP/BiPAP machines, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and/or mechanical ventilators
• Inspect, test, and adjust home medical equipment to ensure it is functioning safely and efficiently
• Review prescription and patient information to assess condition and determine suitable treatment administration, compatible with physician orders
• Maintain patient records in a complete and organized manner in compliance with accreditation standards
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and relevant respiratory therapy concepts
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed
  • Frequency is determined by center size and number of employees available to share

Qualifications

• In all states CRTs and RRTs are qualified for this position
  • Subject to state law/regulation, RNs, LPNs, LVNs, paramedics, EMTs, and other clinicians may also be qualified for this position
• Must remain certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable state and/or national board governing clinical practice or as otherwise permitted by law
• Must have reliable personal vehicle to visit patients throughout assigned territory

• Must maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance in state of residence, per company policy
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Physical Demands

• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
