The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Riverview

• AdventHealth is expanding our medical expertise, innovation, and state-of-the-art technology to southern Hillsborough County through a new hospital in Riverview, scheduled to open in 2024.
• The new AdventHealth Riverview hospital will include 82 beds at opening, with room to expand to 202 beds in the future.
• This $250 million project also includes a 100,000 sq ft, four-story Medical Office Building providing convenient access to care.
• Services will include emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic, and women’s care.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Respiratory Therapist III reports to the Department Manager and delivers care under the direction of a physician. Responsibilities include performing specific competencies, interacting effectively with patients, families, physicians, and team members, maintaining standards and compliance, and serving as a resource for staff and students. You will contribute to patient care quality, satisfaction, and departmental goals.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Administering medications safely and effectively, understanding indications and contraindications.
• Following policies for therapeutic modalities including PAP, IS, USN, HHN.
• Monitoring oxygen therapy and setting up oxygen cylinders safely.
• Performing bedside spirometry tests and in the PFT lab as trained.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited 2-year (AS degree) Respiratory Care Program.
• Current state license (RRT) upon hire.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS, PALS, NRP, and STABLE within specified timeframes.
