Job summary

Advocate Health's Aurora Medical Center Grafton is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for 0.9 FTE, Nights, with a pay range of $33.05-$49.60/hour. The role includes patient assessment, ventilator support, and education within Respiratory Therapy Services.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate Degree in Respiratory Care, a current RCP license and NBRC credentials, plus strong communication and teamwork skills to deliver safe, high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program, with a minimum of an associate degree.
• No experience required.
• Proficient computer skills, use of e‑mail and electronic medical record systems.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), listening and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates time management and multi-tasking in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Use respiratory therapy processes to assess patients using a variety of skills and data.
• Operate specialized ventilators and assist physicians with bedside procedures.
• Provide medication treatments and therapies per physician order or protocols.
• Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment; ensure safety and functionality.
• Educate patients on therapy purpose, technique, and self-care.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide education on patient care.
