Job summary

Next Move Healthcare in Dixon, Illinois, seeks Respiratory Therapists to join its Respiratory Therapy team. The role provides care to neonatal through geriatric patients under medical leadership, with 12-hour night shifts and every-other-weekend coverage.

Qualifications include graduating from an accredited RT program, IL license, NBRC credentials, and ability to work independently. New graduates welcomed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Current Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner license or eligibility.
• NBRC credential.
• Successful NBRC examinations for credentialing.
• Strong respiratory assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to provide care to patients across the lifespan.
• Ability to work independently within clinical protocols.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic and advanced respiratory therapy to neonatal to geriatric patients.
• Assess respiratory status and determine care needs.
• Develop and implement care plans per physician orders.
• Evaluate response to therapy and adjust treatments as needed.
• Administer respiratory therapies safely and effectively.
• Monitor patient status and communicate concerns to the clinical team.
• Operate respiratory therapy equipment per safety standards.
• Document accurately in Epic.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses for coordinated care.
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage.
