Job summary

Orlando Health – Health Central Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Winter Garden is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders. You will initiate and conduct therapies, maintain records, and operate respiratory care equipment within a long-term care setting.

The role requires an AS in Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Sciences, an active Florida RRT license, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• AS in Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Sciences required.
• Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license required.
• Current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.
• Advanced Life Support as appropriate per unit.
• Preferred: active membership in AARC and FSRC.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in respiratory therapeutics and in the use of ventilators and related equipment.
• Maintains accurate and precise documentation.
• Communicates openly with the healthcare team and participates in patient care planning.
• Performs quality control and maintenance of ABG analyzers and related procedures.
• Assumes supervisory duties in the absence of a supervisor.
• Maintains attendance and complies with Orlando Health policies.
