Job summary

Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, OK, is seeking a night shift, full-time NICU Respiratory Therapist. You will assess and treat neonates with cardiopulmonary needs, consult with physicians, and guide other staff in NICU procedures.

Required is an AS degree in respiratory therapy, Oklahoma licensure, and NBRC credentials with RRT or path to RRT within 6 months. BLS and ACLS are mandatory with 14 days and 6 months timelines respectively.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and evaluate patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies.

Responsible for providing care which includes assessment, treatment, control diagnostic evaluation of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. Consults with physicians. Provides consultation, instruction and/or technical direction of medical, nursing and other staff members.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP) with minimally 20 quarter hours of science (A.S. degree required/ B.S. degree preferred).
  NBRC credential as a RRT or new graduate that obtains RRT NBRC credential within 6 months of graduation and or a newly hired CRT that obtains RRT within 6 months of hire.
  Active Oklahoma Respiratory Care Professional License as outlined by the OK Medical Board.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Must obtain ACLS, within 6 months of hire.
