Medical City Arlington, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist in the NICU to join our night shift with rotating weekends. You will provide high-quality neonatal respiratory care, assessment, and supervision as needed in a premier pediatric NICU.

The NICU RRT works within a multidisciplinary team, follows standards of care, and supports patient-family-centered care. A RN supervision and potential precepting duties accompany this role in a high-acuity setting.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days
• Neonate Resuscitation within 30 days
• PALS within 60 months
• State Registered Respiratory Therapist
• RRT/RCP licensure
• Associate Degree
• 1+ Year NICU RRT experience

Mansioni

• Deliver professional respiratory care to NICU patients using the Nursing Process
• Assess patients and assign acuity, supervise staff or students when needed
• Precept and function as charge nurse as required
• Care with age/condition appropriate methods and safety

Job Summary and Qualifications

The NICU Registered Respiratory Therapist delivers professional nursing care to all patients in NICU. Performs assessment and acuity assignment; follows standard of care utilizing Nursing Process in delivery of care; maintains accountability for professional decisions and actions. Daily assignment of an RN may include supervision of other nursing personnel and/or students. Function as a preceptor and ability to function as a charge nurse. The employee performs all services as they may relate to patient care/treatment with consideration for age/condition of patient.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date

• State Registered Respiratory Therapist

• RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP)

• Associate Degree

• 1+ Year as an RRT in NICU setting Required
