Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for the Pediatric/Neonatal Transport Team at St. Joseph Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

The role involves delivering respiratory care under physician orders and hospital protocols during night shifts, with a focus on safe, high-quality patient outcomes. Ideal candidates will have NICU or transport experience and hold an active NBRC RRT credential, ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications, plus an Associate degree in respiratory therapy.

Qualifications

• 1 year of respiratory experience required.
• NICU or Transport experience preferred (Level II/III NICU).
• Certification prerequisites include ACLS, BLS, NRP, NBRC credential for RRT.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care services under physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Plan, organize and control daily operations to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Transport/NICU experience preferred for pediatric and neonatal transport teams.

• Location: St. Joseph Womens and Children's Hospital - Transport
• Status: Full Time, Exempt: No
• Shift Hours: 6:30PM - 7:00AM
• Shift: Nights
• Weekend Work: Every Other
• On Call: No

Description:

• The Registered Respiratory Therapist is a clinical professional who utilizes the department's scope of services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an integral member of the healthcare team.
• The Registered Respiratory Therapist delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other health care providers, or the board and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment. Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.
• Responsible for appropriate utilization of team resources to effectively and efficiently provide clinical services and quality patient outcomes. Accountable for planning, organizing and controlling all aspects of daily operations.
• This role will be for the Pediatric/Neonatal Transport Team. A background in Transport or the NICU is highly preferred.

Required Experience:

• 1 year of Respiratory Experience - Required
• A background in NICU or Transport - 20,000 Level II or Level III NICU Experience

Certifications, Licensures, Education:

• ACLS (Cardiovascular) - Required
• BLS - Required
• NRP-Required
• Registered Respiratory license- Required.
• Active NBRC Credential for RRT
• Associates degree in respiratory- Required
