St. David's South Austin Medical Center, part of St. David's HealthCare, is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) PRN to join our inpatient team.

You will deliver diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care across emergency, acute and critical settings. You will manage invasive and noninvasive ventilation, provide oxygen and aerosolized therapies, and educate patients and families while collaborating with physicians and nurses to optimize outcomes.

Competenze

• ACLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start.
• NBRC-RRT certification required.
• RRT/RCP-State certification required.
• Associate degree in respiratory therapy or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy.

Mansioni

• Assess respiratory status and determine need for interventions.
• Deliver oxygen therapy, aerosolized meds, airway clearance, and other treatments.
• Manage ventilation and airway support, including invasive and noninvasive methods.
• Educate patients and families; collaborate with physicians and nurses; assist with newborn stability.
• Maintain and sanitize equipment; ensure readiness and infection prevention compliance.
