Respiratory Therapist - Masonic (.75 Night)

Responsibilities/Job Description:

Fairview Health Services is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Therapy team at our M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital location in Minneapolis, MN.

We’re offering a $20,000 Sign-On Bonus (Flat rate / Not Prorated) for RTs with 2+ years of Neonatal / Pediatric experience who are hired at our Children's Masonic Hospital location! If you do not have the experience listed, then you can also qualify for our $7,500 Sign-On Bonus!

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services as prescribed by a physician. They follow defined treatment protocols according to department policies. They collect, assess, interpret, and intervene as appropriate in the care of neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Ensuring patient welfare and safety standards during treatments is also part of the role.

Schedule: This position is 0.75 FTE (60 hours every two weeks), with 12-hour night shifts. It includes a rotation for every third weekend. Night shifts receive a $4.00/hr shift differential, and weekend shifts have a $2.00/hr differential.

As part of a large, integrated, academic healthcare system, our Respiratory Therapists play a key role in caring for children. Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Care/Therapy or related field.
  • Respiratory Therapist License issued by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC (must be obtained within 6 months for new graduates).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Care/Therapy or related field.
