Join to apply for the Respiratory Therapist LTC role at Lincare.

This employee administers respiratory therapy care to long-term care residents with abnormalities and deficiencies of the cardiopulmonary system according to physician prescription.

Job Responsibilities

1. Review prescription and patient information to assess patient condition and determine treatment requirements.
2. Determine suitable treatment administration and modifications compatible with physician orders.
3. Set up and operate devices including mechanical ventilators, nebulizers, and compressors.
4. Operate equipment to ensure specified treatment parameters such as volume, oxygen concentration, and temperature.
5. Monitor patient response to therapy via vital signs and blood chemistry changes.
6. Observe equipment function and adjust as needed for optimal results.
7. Consult with physicians in case of adverse reactions.
8. Inspect and test respiratory therapy equipment for safety and efficiency; order repairs when necessary.
9. Demonstrate respiratory care procedures to trainees.
10. Perform staff education at customer facilities.
11. Perform tracheostomy tube changes.
