Job summary

Horizon Specialty Hospital of Henderson is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide critical care and support for patients with respiratory conditions. You will collaborate with physicians and the care team to deliver prescribed therapies and monitor patient responses.

This full-time night position requires an active RCP license in good standing, NBRC certification, BLS and ACLS, and a General Supervisor or Blood Gas certification.

Qualifications

• NBRC RRT certification and active RCP license in good standing.
• BLS and ACLS certification through AHA.
• Blood Gas Tech or General Supervisor certification.
• Reliable transportation to work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess responses to ordered therapy per plan of care including routine and intensive therapy and diagnostic procedures.
• Utilize oxygen and therapeutic gas equipment (masks, tents, incubators) as prescribed.
• Monitor and record patient conditions and communicate progress of treatments.

Education

NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certification

Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in good standing

BLS and ACLS (AHA)

Blood Gas Tech or General Supervisor Certification

Position Summary

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing critical care to patients with respiratory conditions. You'll work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver effective treatments and improve patient outcomes.

Wage Commensuration

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess responses to ordered therapy per plan of care including routine and intensive therapy and diagnostic procedures.
• Utilize various types of oxygen and other therapeutic gas equipment such as masks, tents, and incubators.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient conditions and general acceptance of treatments, as well as administer medicinal gases and aerosol drugs as prescribed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be a licensed RCP in good standing with the state (as required)
• Must be a current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Must have BLS and ACLS accredited from American Heart Association (AHA)
• Must have Blood Gas Tech or General Supervisor Certification
• Reliable transportation required
