Regency at Bluff's Park in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to assess, treat and monitor residents with breathing disorders. The role involves administering therapies, managing equipment, and collaborating with the care team to ensure compliance with facility policies and state regulations.

You will educate residents and families, respond to respiratory emergencies, maintain records, and uphold infection control practices.

Formación

• Demonstrates knowledge of basic respiratory practices.
• 2 years' experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Knowledgeable of federal and state regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory therapy treatments for residents per physician orders.
• Administer treatments including oxygen therapy, aerosols, chest physiotherapy, suctioning.
• Monitor residents’ cardiopulmonary status and responses to therapy.
• Set up and manage respiratory equipment (oxygen concentrators, AVAPs, BiPAP, CPAP, nebulizers).
• Educate residents, families, and staff on disease management and safety procedures.
• Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies.
• Document assessments and treatments in resident records.
• Maintain infection control and equipment sanitation.
