Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for the Seattle area to operate respiratory care equipment and support adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. The role includes training others, acting as a conduit in the supervisor’s absence, and contributing to patient-focused care at Swedish First Hill.

The position requires WA licensure, BLS, ACLS and PALS within specified timeframes, and offers a comprehensive benefits package with a $10,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires.

Qualifications

• Accredited respiratory therapy program sufficient to qualify for licensure in Washington State.
• WA Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
• National Provider PALS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates respiratory care equipment for diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease or illness.
• Acts as a resource person for other employees; may train or communicate instructions and inspect work.
• Serves as contact person in the absence of a supervisor or director.
• Supports patient-focused, whole-person care in a team setting.
