Job summary

City Scape Rehabilitation and Care Center in Denver is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to assess and treat residents in a skilled nursing setting, improving quality of life through evidence-based therapies and compassionate care.

You will conduct assessments, develop plans, administer therapies (Acapella, IS, EZPAP, CPT), document progress, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team while staying current with best practices. New graduates welcome.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist.
• NBRC RRT certification preferred.
• Experience in long-term care or nursing homes desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a healthcare team and independently.
• Familiarity with EMR and documentation standards.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of residents’ respiratory status and review medical history.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on needs.
• Administer respiratory therapies to promote lung function and prevent complications.
• Monitor responses to treatment and adjust care plans with medical staff.
• Educate residents and families about respiratory health and care options.
• Maintain accurate documentation in residents’ medical records.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss care strategies.
• Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of respiratory equipment and infection control.
• Stay current with best practices and participate in professional development.
