Job summary

Penn State Health's Respiratory Therapy team in Reading is seeking a Respiratory Therapist II to lead daily activities and monitor performance. Work is full-time with a night shift, and you’ll coach Registered Respiratory Therapists while adjusting staffing per the RCIS crewing guide.

Candidates should hold an Associate degree, valid state license, and credentials such as BLS and ACLS; one specialty credential is required, with ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree required.
  • Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist by the state of employment required.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a respiratory therapist.
  • One Active Specialty Credential (NPS, ACCS, C-NPT, AE-C, C-PFT, RPFT, PALS, or NRP).

***$15,000 SIGN-ON BONUS - eligible to those that qualify ***

Night Shift Differential: $2.50/hour
Hours:7:00p - 7:30a

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Leads and participates in the day‑to‑day activities of the Respiratory Services Department and monitors the general activities of its satellites. Monitors, evaluates, and coaches Registered Respiratory Therapists daily performance and productivity. Adjusts staffing levels according to the Respiratory Clinical Information System (RCIS) crewing guide.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
  • Associates Degree required
  • Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist by the state of employment required.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current certification in ACLS.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a respiratory therapist.
  • One Active Specialty Credential (NPS, ACCS, C-NPT, AE-C, C-PFT, RPFT, PALS, or NRP).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
  • ACLS and PALS certification
