Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a Respiratory Therapist II to provide advanced patient care in critical settings. You will administer medications, perform therapy, manage ventilators, assess patients, and educate families and staff as part of a multidisciplinary team.

This role requires NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS and ACLS certifications, with 0-2 years of clinical experience and 6 months in ICU/ Critical Care preferred; associates or bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
• NBRC-RRT – Registered Respiratory Therapist certification required (upon hire).
• CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS certification encouraged or required per unit.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care in collaboration with the health care team.
• Administers aerosolized medications and airway therapy.
• Manages ventilator therapy, including weaning and interpretation of waveforms.
• Educates patients and families, and mentors staff and students.
• Adheres to safety and quality standards and hospital policies.
