Job summary

Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver respiratory therapy modalities and conduct assessments across all ages and units, including NICU and Labor & Delivery. You will work independently after orientation, following department policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualified candidates will have a CoARC-approved Respiratory Therapist program, at least one year in acute/critical care, and current Nevada licensure with BLS/ACLS

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Therapist program.
• One year in acute/critical care respiratory therapy.
• Current Nevada Practitioner of Respiratory Care License, BLS/ACLS certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory therapy modalities and assessments to patients of all ages in all care areas, including NICU and Labor & Delivery.
• Perform responsibilities independently and without supervision except as needed during orientation or training.
• Provide care/service per department policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Job Description:

Responsible for the delivery of respiratory therapy modalities and respiratory assessments to patients of all ages in all patient care areas, including critical care, NICU and Labor & Delivery. Performs responsibilities independently and without supervision except as necessary during orientation or training.

Education: Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Therapist program.

Experience: One (1) year in acute/critical care respiratory therapy.

Technical Skills

Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department, and provide the care/service as described in the department policies and procedures.

License/Certification

Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care. Care. Current Nevada Practitioner of Respiratory Care License, Nevada Blood Gas Technologist (minimum),* Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified by the American Heart Association; The following to be obtained within the first 90 days of hire date if applicable to specific facility Pediatric Advanced life Support (PALS) certified by the American Heart Association and/or Neonatal Resuscitative Provider (NRP) certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
