Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist II for the Respiratory Corporate department. The role covers all six Valley Health System hospitals, providing comprehensive respiratory care across age groups from neonates to geriatrics.

The position entails patient assessments, therapy implementation, and collaboration with the care team. Requires an accredited Respiratory Care program, 2 years' experience, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited educational program for Respiratory Care is required.
• 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist is required.
• BLS Certification required; ACLS or related course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers all therapy modalities per physician orders and/or policies.
• Performs SpO2 monitoring and arterial blood gas analysis.
• Operates and monitors mechanical ventilation and non-invasive ventilation therapies.
• Assists in bedside bronchoscopies and intubations as needed.
• Maintains accurate reports and documentation in the EHR.
