Overview

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring a full‑time Respiratory Therapist to work the third (night) shift. The position is open to Registered and Certified Respiratory Therapists. Eligible candidates may receive up to $20,000 sign‑on bonus for full‑time and up to $10,000 for part‑time. Relocation and moving allowances are available for candidates outside the geographic area.

Virginia Beach, VA – Night shift (Third).

Hospital

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is a 276‑bed acute care facility with Magnet status, a Level III Trauma Center, and a Magnet hospital for nursing excellence. It is the region’s only Level III Trauma Center and hosts the Sentara Heart Center. The hospital is also one of ten Advanced Primary Stroke Centers in Virginia certified by the Joint Commission. Clinical services include Palliative Care, Coastal Cancer Center, Diabetes Center, Orthopedics, Accredited Sleep Disorders Center, and Inpatient Rehab Unit.

Education

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required.
• Non‑degreed applicants with RRT credentials before January 1 2006 and graduates from a military RT program with RRT credentials will also be considered.

Certification/Licensure

• State Respiratory license
• NBRC RRT
• BLS required at time of hire.
• New graduates must have a state license and BLS at hire and obtain NBRC RRT within 6 months.

Experience

• None required.
• 1 year respiratory care experience preferred.
