Sentara Halifax in South Boston, VA is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a full-time night shift. You will deliver physician-directed respiratory care and work closely with nursing and other care team members across all ages, from neonates to adults.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate's or Bachelor's degree, NBRC RRT, a State license, and BLS at hire. Sign-on bonuses and relocation/housing support may be available for qualified candidates.

Sentara Health is currently recruiting for Registered Respiratory Therapists to work at Sentara Halifax in South Boston, VA. This role is a Full Time, Night shift position.

Up to $20,000 Sign On Bonus for Full Time Qualified Candidates! Up to $10,000 Sign On Bonus for Part Time Qualified Candidates! Experienced and New Graduates May Qualify Relocation, Moving Allowance and Housing Allowance available to candidates outside of geographic area.

The Registered Respiratory Therapist builds upon the overall pulmonary management in identifying and implementing physician directed respiratory care interventions for an individual or a group of patients. Works cooperatively with nursing and other health care team members for professional respiratory care practice for all patients ranging in ages from neonates to adults in all clinical and ambulatory settings. Responsible for the appropriate age specific assessment and treatment of patients. May have access to, or oversight of Protected Health Information (PHI) in the course of carrying out position duties.

Education

• Associates or Bachelor's degree required. Non degreed applicants with RRT credentials prior to January 1, 2006 and graduates from a military RT program with RRT credentials will also be considered.

Certification/Licensure

• State Respiratory license
• NBRC RRT
• BLS required at time of hire.
• For new graduates only, must have State license and BLS at time of hire, and must obtain NBRC RRT within 6 months of hire date.

Experience

• None required
• 1 year Respiratory Care experience preferred
