Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to work full-time on the 3rd shift (36 hours per week). You will deliver respiratory care, administer medications, manage ventilators, and participate in emergency response.

The team provides pulmonary function testing, education, and 24/7 respiratory care; we require NBRC registration, an associates degree, Kentucky licensure, and active BLS with PALs/NRP within 6 months.

Qualifications

• NBRC registration is required.
• Associate’s degree is required.
• Kentucky licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner is required.
• Active BLS must be maintained (obtain within 30 days).
• PALs and NRP must be obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications via aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, percussion and postural drainage, non-invasive ventilation, mechanical ventilation, CPR, bedside pulmonary function screening, and arterial blood gases.
• Able to perform in all emergency situations and provide intubation, if applicable.
• Ventilator management and respiratory care procedures.

We offer comprehensive pulmonary function testing, advanced ventilator management, pulmonary rehabilitation programs, asthma and COPD education and management, and 24/7 emergency respiratory care. Our dedicated professionals deliver high-quality, compassionate care using state-of-the-art treatment plans.

Description:

• Medication administration via aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, percussion and postural drainage, non-invasive ventilation, mechanical ventilation, CPR, bedside pulmonary function screening, and arterial blood gases.

Requirements:

• Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Associate’s degree
• Must be licensed by the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Kentucky and in accordance with the provisions of KRS chapter 314A
• Must maintain an active BLS. [must obtain within 30 days of hire].
• Must obtain PALs and NRP within 6 months
