Qualifikationen

• RCP or RCP-Temp licensure by state board; Educational Permit holders must be graduates of a respiratory program.
• CRT certification by NBRC within 1 month of employment.
• RRT certification by NBRC within 1 year of employment.

Aufgaben

• Work independently to administer Respiratory Therapy via approved protocols and guidelines, including blood gas analysis, oxygen therapy, invasive/non-invasive ventilation, inhaled meds, airway clearance, and pulmonary testing.
• Participate in Code Blue, Rapid Response Team, and Trauma Response Team.
• Document patient care through the EMR.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory procedures; provide education to students and other providers.
• Participate in Department Performance Improvement Projects.
• Pulmonary Function Lab with training; perform advanced PFT and assist with bronchoscopy procedures.
• May perform unit/department duties as outlined in department documents.
