Job summary

University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, VT seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide professional respiratory care across adult, pediatric, and high-acuity patients. You will operate in a Level I Trauma Center and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess and manage pulmonary needs across units including NICU services.

Eligible candidates may have a sign-on bonus and relocation support. Licensure in Vermont and NBRC RRT credentials are required, with ACLS/BLS/PALS current.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved program for Respiratory Care.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Vermont.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist by the NBRC within one year of hire date.
• Current ACLS, BLS & PALS.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional respiratory care to patients in varying states of health and illness.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the patient’s pulmonary needs.
• Care for adult, pediatric, and high-acuity patients in a Level I Trauma Center.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Deliver high-quality care across multiple critical care environments.

Join a dynamic Respiratory Care team at aLevel I Trauma Centerand Golisano Children’s Hospitalwith aLevel III NICU, where you’ll practice at the top of your license and have a meaningful impact across multiple critical care environments. Our Respiratory Therapists are trusted clinical practitioners who play an essential role in patient care, collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team.

This position provides professional respiratory care to patients in varying states of health and illness by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the patient’s pulmonary needs. At baseline, our team provides and oversees delivery of patient care for all patients requiring respiratory care in the general units, including adult, pediatric, and cystic fibrosis patients. Working at a Level 1 Trauma Center means no two days are the same! RTs will care for trauma patients, cardiac arrests and high acuity admissions. You will accompany patients at different stages of their hospitalization and work to provide high quality care throughout their journey.

Education:

Sign-on and relocation packages:

External candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 and may receive a relocation package of up to $6,000. Certain terms and conditions apply.

WAGES:

Level I: $31.40 - $49.53

Level II: $32.95 - $51.96

Level III: $34.63 - $54.61
