Job summary

Antelope Valley Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist I to provide standard respiratory care across Pediatric to Geriatric patients. The role supports ICU, Emergency, Pediatrics, and general floors under supervision of the Respiratory Therapy leadership.

Candidates must have a California-licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner credential or be in process with RRT eligibility and possess a high school diploma or GED. This is a full‑time on‑site position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate from school accredited for the education of Respiratory Care Practitioners and recognized by the state of California or the state of the school's location.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be licensed with the State of California as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Credentialed with the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). If not registered, staff have five years to obtain this credential.

Responsibilities

• Maintains high standards of customer service.
• Provides routine bronchodilator therapy and patient assessment.
• Provides oxygen therapy and ventilatory support with various devices.
• Delivers critical care and assists with intubations when required.
