Job summary

CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide bedside respiratory care and treatments for a diverse patient population. The role requires proficiency with respiratory equipment, sound clinical judgment, and ongoing participation in education to uphold standards of practice.

Minimum licensure includes CA RCP; NBRC RRT credential preferred. Shift is days, 6:00am–6:00pm, 12-hour shifts, with 36 hours per week in a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an AMA, CoARC or JRCRTE approved Respiratory Therapy program.
• Current and valid RCP license from the Respiratory Care Board of California (RCP/RRT as applicable).
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.

Provides care to assigned patients according to professional standards and established procedures, using good judgement and personal initiative.

Minimum Work Experience And Qualifications

• Must possess excellent assessment skills to floor therapy and patients on mechanical ventilators.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Preferred Work Experience And Qualifications

• Two (2) years experience in an acute care facility

Required Licensure, Certification, Registration Or Designation

• Current and valid RCP license from the Respiratory Care Board of California
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• American Heart Association BLS Card
• American Heart Association ACLS Card
• American Heart Association PALS Card
• Assault Response Competency (ARC) required within 30 days of hire
• Current Los Angeles County Fire Card (or must be obtained within 30 days of employment)
