Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
• Credentialed Certified Respiratory Therapist by NBRC.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner state license (IL or MI).
• NBRC credentials if credentialed after July 1, 2002.
• New graduates must pass exam for CRT credential.
• Proof of state licensure application required for new graduates.
• Licensure must be obtained within six months of hire.
• CPR - American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers).

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate respiratory care across patient populations.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Deliver safe, effective, high-quality care in line with protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Support patient outcomes through continuous assessment and intervention.
• Provide care across settings: emergency rooms, ICUs, general floors, homecare and clinics.
