Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Respiratory Therapist to assist in diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. You will collect sputum, blood, and breath samples to assess gas exchange and lung function, and administer prescribed respiratory therapies under physician oversight.

Responsibilities include supervising respiratory therapy technicians and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • AAS in Respiratory Care from an AMA approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by NBRC; licensed by the SC Board.
  • 0-2 years of professional experience; current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required

Additional Job Description

Licensure: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Licensed by the Board of Medical Examiners of S.C. 10-12 years of professional experience in lieu of Registration

Work Experience: 0-2 years
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
