Select Medical in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for a full-time role, including night shift opportunities. Compensation ranges from $31.96 to $43.00 per hour plus shift differentials, with a $15,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, delivering respiratory care for critical conditions, managing tubes, quality improvement, and patient teaching. Minimum NBRC CRT/RRT, BLS, state license, ACLS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.

Schedule: Full-time, 12-Hour Shift, Night Shift (We are only One Floor - No need to float to a different floor)

Compensation: $31.96 - $43.00 per hour plus shift differentials (New Rate Increase)

Sign-On Bonus: $15,000

*Not interested in night shift; we also have Day Shift

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
